Responsible Travel

Explore Our Commitment to Sustainable Travel

Tourism is recognized as a great source of income for every country; however it can also have a negative impact to the environment and local culture.  We can all take action to protect the world we travel.

Cacao Travel Panama undertakes good practices, which integrate social and environmental concerns. Our claim is that, with ecotourism, visitors and locals enrich their life with real cultural exchange, supporting its legitimacy and preservation. And on the other hand both learn to appreciate nature as mankind depends entirely on it.

Our Responsible Travel Approach

Discover our clear, step-by-step guide to embracing sustainable tourism practices in Panama, ensuring your journey benefits both community and environment.

Step One: get Engaged

We currently support Botellas de Amor, a local project that reuses plastic that cannot be recycled.

Cacao Travel has also  achieved Travelife Partner Certification.

Travelife is a leading training, management and certification initiative for tourism companies committed to reaching sustainability.

Step Two: Minimize Impact

As a business we try to minimize our environmental footprint doing the following:

We use eco-hosting for our website that is mostly driven by wind energy, a renewable energy source.

Also our office is within a coworking center. Coworking spaces share common areas, supplies and other resources, thereby cutting down on basic wastefulness.

Step Three: Promote Sustainability

You can minimize your impact on the environment and cultural heritage when you travel.  Here we share some ideas for a fun and eco-friendly travel.  Be grateful with the world you travel.
